Darya Khan

Darya Khan is a graphic and multidisciplinary artist with a background in architectural design, exploring corporeality and feminine nature.
Darya draws with her eyes closed. This is her way of experiencing reality—letting it reveal itself. Her production method is not to invent a plot, form, or composition, but to find them. At the beginning of each work, the artist closes her eyes to draw a few spontaneous lines; and then opens and observes. This is how children look at clouds.
Thus, one the important tasks in art is to make the invisible visible—to reveal it. The main subject and theme is a woman "weaving her own pattern of life." She enjoys creating "corporeal" paintings in the landscape. These are often nude bodies, absorbing or surrendering to this freedom with their entire being.
