Velvet by Nano Nasty is a tactile abstraction in which the sculptural surface behaves like fabric caught in motion. Deep folds interrupt the rectangular form, creating a shifting relief that changes with light and the viewer’s position.

The intense red suggests both velvet and exposed flesh, while the black dotted pattern emphasises every curve and depression. The work moves between softness and resistance, inviting the eye to imagine touch. Its surface becomes a bodily landscape where material appears to stretch, gather and retain the trace of pressure.
