Journey of the Foxes unfolds as a passage through an imagined landscape where the boundary between nature and inner experience becomes fluid. The foxes move through the composition as guides, carrying a sense of instinct and quiet transformation. Their repeated forms create a continuous rhythm, suggesting a journey that takes place both across a physical landscape and within the self.

The work belongs to Polina Lis’s personal mythology, in which the fox becomes a figure of connection between the familiar and the unknown. Softly shifting colour and simplified forms give the scene the quality of a memory or dream, while the movement of the animals suggests an ongoing search for balance. The journey has no fixed destination; instead, it becomes a way of recognising change and learning to remain attentive to what appears along the way.
