This work belongs to a series of landscapes devoid of human presence, photographed along the Baltic coast in the Kaliningrad region. The sea, shifting horizon and birds in flight are presented not as a setting for human experience, but as autonomous agents within an environment that continues beyond human observation and control.

The series approaches the landscape through a posthuman perspective, displacing the human figure from the centre of the image and questioning the idea of nature as a passive backdrop. The birds become part of a wider ecological field, moving through wind, water and atmospheric space without being reduced to symbols or narrative devices.

Created using analogue photography, the image retains the grain, tonal instability, softness and accidental blur characteristic of the photographic process. These material qualities preserve the romantic sensibility and recognisable visual language of traditional photographic printing, while the blurred movement of the birds transforms the observed landscape into an image suspended between documentation, memory and disappearance.
