TOVA NUTS in BODY LANDSCAPES

TOVA NUTS is a sculptural art project by TOVA that brings together painting, research and object-based practice. Presented for the first time in Berlin at Zimmer48, the project explores finance, observation, systems of value and non-separation through the symbolic form of the nut.

From 12 to 31 May, TOVA NUTS was shown as part of BODY LANDSCAPES, a group exhibition by TOVA Gallery in collaboration with DALLERY.de. The exhibition brought together 34 contemporary artists from 7 countries and explored the body as a site of transformation, perception and spatial experience.

Within this context, TOVA NUTS appeared as a special presentation of four sculptural art objects from different collections. Each work carries a kernel of knowledge, protected by a shell and held within as something concentrated, preserved and gradually revealed.

The presentation included works from three collections:

  1. Retention Collection

  2. Reflects on preservation, continuity and future potential.

  3. Reading the Horizon Collection

  4. Approaches the horizon as a threshold of visibility, evaluation and choice.

  5. Bloom Time Collection

Focuses on the moment when meaning is still hidden, yet already beginning to appear.

BODY LANDSCAPES was built around the idea of scaping: the creation of a visual field from independent artistic statements. In this field, works by different artists begin to resonate through space, scale, rhythm and the viewer’s gaze.

Placed within this spatial composition, TOVA NUTS extended the exhibition’s focus on corporeality, material sensitivity and the quiet dialogue between the human body and the object.
