T O V A

TOVA (she/her) is an artist-mediator with sensory precision and a futurist vision, translating scientific research, the less visible challenges of the 21st century and human emotional states into unified, multidimensional visual statements. TOVA’s field of practice unfolds through at least two authorial inventions: TOVA NUTS, taking the form of sculptural art works, and TOVA WORLDS, taking the form of interdisciplinary worlds in which visual art, text, sound, video, poetry and other media come together as cohesive artistic environments.

TOVA’s visual language grows out of 20 years of work in applied research on financial markets, including market microstructure, trading strategies, financial modelling, forecasting, market surveillance and machine learning in finance. TOVA knows what statistics are made of, and this professionalism gives her visual statements conviction and builds trust. Behind every TOVA NUT stands a long process of hypothesis-building, analysis and model construction. Every stage in the study of system behaviour passes through TOVA’s lens and is synthesised into the NUT form. In this way, drawing on real science, TOVA finds a precise visual solution, chooses art as a universal language for understanding the world and translates scientific discoveries into form.

Challenges TOVA Responds To

Acceleration of time: TOVA explores how the intensified pace of the 21st century reshapes perception, attention and the inner experience of reality, where time appears as a dense and pressurised field and continuity becomes unstable.

Event saturation and continuous signal: The work engages with a condition in which the world produces a constant flow of triggers, signals and reactions, as artificially initiated movements and cascading events reorganise both collective behaviour and individual perception.

Data overload and crisis of interpretation: TOVA addresses a state in which the volume of information no longer clarifies reality but makes it less readable, as errors, gaps and noise become part of the visual language and reveal the instability of interpretation.

Unstable systems and hidden value: A central line in the practice considers how value is recognised within unstable, shifting systems, where artistic form becomes a way to sense what remains significant when equivalence fluctuates and measures lose consistency.

Structure, depth and boundaries: TOVA examines the internal architectures of systems within which trajectories of perception and life unfold, where depth appears as a condition of meaning and boundaries operate as dynamic and shifting frameworks.

Loss of a long-term horizon: The work reflects a present in which long duration and future orientation become increasingly difficult to sustain, as the temporal field contracts and the sense of continuity weakens.

Blurred boundaries between inner and outer: TOVA’s works emerge at the point where inner experience and external reality converge, where transitions are perceived simultaneously as internal processes and as pressures from surrounding systems.

Tova mission

Through TOVA, the viewer gains a way of understanding contemporary reality that remains meaningful without reading scientific texts or entering a professional context. One does not have to split oneself into roles and functions, but can preserve inner wholeness, remain who one is and shape life as an interconnected system in which logic and feeling act together. This possibility is held within TOVA NUTS: by possessing the nut, one comes into contact with a form in which knowledge has already been gathered, preserved and embodied aesthetically. TOVA WORLDS, in turn, offer the practice of such an experience: they allow one to enter TOVA’s artistic world, become part of it and try on this way of perceiving reality. In this sense, TOVA NUTS and TOVA WORLDS form a single system through which balance may be regained by no longer perceiving fragments separately.
